WCA Update for Week of January 27

January is winding down. We can’t wait for February because February means more gatherings and events with you! By popular request, we are planning another Class Parent Gathering. The first one was full of productive conversation, sharing ideas across the generations of classes doesn’t happen very often. We’ve carved a new pathway for communication and that is something!

Celebrating the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. With Service

On Monday, January 20, Waldorf School at Moraine Farm will be closed to honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. A powerful orator and influential civil rights activist, MLK led many non-violent protests in the 1950s and 1960s to fight for the rights of all people. His legacy is one of diversity, equity, and inclusion; important ideals to the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm Community. Martin Luther King Jr. also shared a message of compassion which is the CARE class theme for January. (more…)

A reminder in this week’s update that we are part of a larger Steiner community, worldwide! We are one point of light in a network of warm lights across the globe that are dedicated to providing a supportive developmental approach to education. Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is excited to officially invite you to participate in our 100th-anniversary celebration initiative: 100 Acts of Service!
