As you know, this year marks the 100th birthday of Waldorf Education. What better way to honor the legacy of an education that gives so much to each of us than to give back to our communities? Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is excited to officially invite you to participate in our 100th-anniversary celebration initiative: 100 Acts of Service! Over the course of this year, classes, teachers, and families are invited to perform acts of service to give back to the many communities that support our school.
The upcoming winter break is a wonderful opportunity to engage in this project with your family. Here are some ideas to get you started on your service quests:
- Make holiday cards to be sent to retirement homes or soldiers
- Volunteer at a soup kitchen
- Shovel for a neighbor
- Hold a clothing drive
Please submit your service acts to Branigan Reed (email@example.com). Feel free to submit pictures to go along with your descriptions- we love to see our community members in action! Service acts will be recorded and displayed in the front entry hallway on our new Waldorf 100 tree! We look forward to giving back with you!
