Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is located on the North Shore in Beverly, Massachusetts within the beautiful grounds of historic Moraine Farm. While only 25 minutes north of Boston and conveniently situated off Route 128, driving down the dirt road to Waldorf School at Moraine Farm’s campus immediately takes you away from the city and into a beautiful natural setting. Designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted in the 1800s, the grounds are breathtaking every day of the year.

A variety of indoor and outdoor spaces are available to rent for private events, weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthdays, anniversaries, club meetings, musical concerts, parties, and much more.

MORAINE FARM • BEVERLY MA

Private Event Rental Options

The Quad

$100 per hour

ACCOMMODATES
80–100 people (without tent)
10 people (under provided tent)

SIZE OF AREA — 36’ x 77’         

DESCRIPTION
A lush grassy area nestled among lush trees and neatly manicured landscaping, The Quad offers a beautiful alfresco area for your next gathering. A 20’x20’ seasonal tent with an understated forest green top cover. Beneath the tent can comfortably fit four 6-foot tables, providing up to 28 dining seats for guests. For a nominal fee, the seasonal tent can be removed in order to open up the space for a larger tent. Portable electricity is available.

Get creative by setting up your own rustic family-style table setting in the open area with the buffet of food beneath the seasonal tent. Use the nearby trees and tent poles to hang decorative lighting. Or create comfy vignettes for your guests to relax in with your own (or rented) outdoor sofas and chairs! Electricity is available upon request. Nearby amenities include water, outdoor bathrooms, parking, wooded trails, playgrounds, sports court, and open fields.

Playground Rental

$75 per hour

ACCOMMODATES — 20–40 people (including children)

DESCRIPTION
On our campus playground is available to rent for private parties and gatherings. With the abundance of trees surrounding the playground, it’s a great spot to host a summer birthday party for kids of all ages. Prepare a beautiful picnic to enjoy on the available outdoor seating. 

The playground is expansive and not fully enclosed. Conveniently located adjacent to The Quad, and the main school building, parents can easily enjoy the festivities while keeping an eye on their kids.

Renters assume all risks and responsibilities when using playground equipment.

The Field

$100 per hour

ACCOMMODATES — 150–200 people

DESCRIPTION
A large open grassy area surrounded by magnificent trees, this quintessential area beckons for a casual outdoor event with a naturally picturesque backdrop (your photos will look gorgeous from every angle). Set the tone as guests drive from the main road down a long windy dirt driveaway entering upon your event space. After they park their cars, they make a short walk down a path through a small wooded area. Everyone immediately feels at ease in the natural setting, and at the same time, are excited for events to unfold.

Design the most charming outdoor wedding with a relaxed reception to follow under a rented tent (or under the stars). The surrounding grounds offer a variety of spots to capture amazing pictures. Or are you craving a BBQ-themed picnic event with coordinating gingham tablecloths and mason jar drinks? Perhaps an outdoor music theatre more your style. The Field welcomes all of your inspired ideas and creative visions.

For those that embrace the perfectly imperfect elements of nature (i.e. unmanicured lawn and trees that aren’t groomed by hand), The Field makes an ideal setting for all sorts of festivities. The abundance of trees and woods provides a private space to fully unplug from the “busyness” of everyday life. We’ll be delighted to work with you on designing the experience of your dreams.

There is no built-in lighting on The Field, but portable electricity can be provided at no extra cost. All custom lighting is the responsibility of the renter and must be handled by a licensed professional. If onsite catering is needed, a separate tented space can be set up out of the way in an inconspicuous spot near The Field, or use of the nearby school indoor facilities can be arranged. The Campus • 5K Fundraising Package

$2000 for the day
$30 per hour for TWO on-site coordinators

ACCOMMODATES — Up to 200 people

PARKING — Up to 180 Vehicles        

SIZE OF AREA — 28 acres of wooded areas, trails, and fields.    

DESCRIPTION
Reserve the facilities and the entire grounds at Moraine Farm to host your own 5K fundraising event. Design a course along the trails and footpaths sprinkled through the fields and forests. Give your participants a beautiful and safe area to run/walk the race. Start and finish the race by the school facilities and celebrate with a huge catered picnic or BBQ with a DIY ice cream buffet, of course. Or nix the catering bring in local food trucks with a variety of foods for all palates.

This package deal makes it easy and fun for your organization to design a community event with a cause. The location is a distance off the main road, offering a safe place for the race to take place. Make it a family-friendly event with our multiple playgrounds adjacent to the school building.

Raise funds, get everyone energized, and celebrate community while creating a magical event for all to enjoy. It would be an honor to make our space available to your organization. On-site parking is available for up to 180 vehicles. Please let us know if you need more parking. Offsite shuttle options are available for an additional fee. Portable electricity is available.

Photoshoot on the Grounds

$30 per hour for a group of 6 or less.
$60 per hour for a group of 6 or more.

DESCRIPTION
During the winter season, this beautiful property transforms into a winter wonderland with woods, meadows, and trails covered in a blanket of snow, and in fall it becomes a stunning fall foliage picturesque postcard scene. Spring brings the blooming of Frederick Law Olmstead designed landscape plus the numerous fields of wildflowers, many species of mushrooms, wetlands/swamp. Summer brings out the many Moraine Farm full year-round residents, bald eagle, turkeys, groundhogs, deer, coyotes, frogs, visiting migrating birds, and a variety of turtles. Whether you wish to explore the grounds for the purpose of photographing your surroundings or you’re in search of a beautiful backdrop for portrait photography, we’re more than happy to work with you on a rental agreement.
