Parent & Child Classes this Fall

Fall semester at the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is shaping up to be a positive and thriving experience for all. Not only is our beloved Parent & Child programming expanding to include an additional class, but it’s also extending the age range of children welcome to participate — the Apple Blossom Class for kids aged 4 – 6 years.

We couldn’t be more excited about this great news and ask that you help us spread the word online.

  • If you can, please share our public Facebook post with your local friends on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Or if you’re feeling inspired to compose your own personal post online, please be sure to include the link to our newly redesigned Parent & Child web page. If you copy and paste the URL into your Facebook post, the above image will automatically populate.

On our web page, parents will be able to learn more and can easily sign their family up for our program. Many thanks for your enthusiastic support. We appreciate your help in getting the word out and attracting more amazing families to our community.

Homeschool Program 2.0

Of all the changes our North Shore community is enduring, the growth in homeschooling families has been the most remarkable change among families. It’s something that we’re very aware of and feel compelled to make our unique programming available to these families as a way of supplementing and expanding their curriculum at home.

Be on the lookout! Our new and improved Homeschool Program will be unveiled online this week. This will include a new web page that can easily be shared online. Our program will on Tuesdays & Thursdays for kids between 2nd and 5th grade.

Several of our Faculty have been working tirelessly these last couple of months designing and refining this incredible program. Bringing more families into the fold of our treasured community and enlivening the children’s educational experience is important to us. What better way to cultivate community and a deeper connection to learning during a time when isolation and at-home learning is most prevalent.

Quad Project Update & Ceremony

As we look to the upcoming school year, we are re-imagining our campus to make increased use of our beautiful outdoor space. The final phase of our multi-year Quad project, led with love by Anita Brewer-Siljeholm, has commenced with a commemorative ceremony and ribbon cutting (see photos below).

Our front entrance will become more functional and an even more beautiful: bluestone patios, cozy sitting spaces, solar-panel-lit canopies, outdoor ovens, nooks for covered outdoor classes, picnic tables, and lush four-season gardens. We are forever grateful to Anita for her vision and leadership to bring such natural beauty — and usefulness — right up to our front steps. What an incredible benefit for our returning students, faculty, and staff.

A few additional things to note are that the project:

  • will benefit the school, the faculty/staff, and our community as a great addition to our beautiful campus
  • will help with outdoor learning/classrooms, which will be vital in the coming school year
  • will increase EC play areas and facilitate the grades’ outdoor learning blocks
  • has the potential to serve as cafe and hangout area for parents after drop off (seasonal)
