Early Childhood Parents Support Evening October 16
On October 16 from 6:30 til 8 pm in the Kindergarten room, parents of students in the early childhood programs are warmly invited to an evening dedicated to supporting each other’s parenting efforts while looking through the lens of Waldorf education.
Each month we will take up a different topic. This first gathering will be focused on all matters regarding dressing your little people- quite an art during autumn in New England. We will hear each other, perhaps offer our own experiences and generally support one another. Oh, and there will be cake, as well!!
These evenings will occur every third Wednesday of the month.

A Thank You Letter from a Parent and Child Family
Parent and Child classes offers parents, grandparents, and caregivers the opportunity to learn about child development, to connect and interact with your young child, and so much more. Hear from a grandmother who is now entering her third session of Morning Glory.
There are a few more spots open in our spring classes. Learn more and register here.
This seems like the perfect opportunity to express how incredibly wonderful your parent child class has been in my life sharing time with my grand daughter, Finley.
Why We Give from Chris Dowley & Laura Freysinger
Our son, Gavin, graduated from the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm in 2016. He is proficient in two foreign languages, plays violin in the school orchestra, plays two varsity sports, and maintains a grade point that lands him on “high honors” each semester. We credit his success to the process of learning that was his foundation here at the Waldorf School. It is not “what” he learned, but rather, how he learned it. It is not “academic rigor” that got him where he is, but rather the experiential environment and collaboration with his teachers and peers that won the day. Since then, natural curiosity and a steadfast work ethic have continued his success.
Carpooling Is Available
The WCA wants to remind families that are looking for help with pickup and drop off that carpool options are available. Our Waldorf community of families spans many towns around our school. Over the years many families have saved time and energy and gotten to know each other through carpooling. If you are curious about options near you, contact Alyssa Nemes firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Why We Give from the Zohn Family
We were blessed to find the Waldorf school 11 years ago. We initially sought out to find a gentle and natured based nursery school experience for our then 2 year old son. He was very shy and quiet so we wanted a small class size. He was also not ready for 5 full days away from mom so we specifically narrowed our search down to schools with 2-3 day options.
We had heard about Montessori and Waldorf educations online and quickly dug into exploring the different approaches. We visited the 3 local options and felt an immediate sense of peace and a warm familiarity at the Waldorf School. We observed many things that were important to our family. Good wholesome food, a loving environment and calm adults who were soft spoken instead of yelling at rowdy kids. (more…)
