Parent & Child Drop-In Class Thursdays

Special offer in December and January. Experience a Waldorf Parent & Child Class for just $30! Morning Glory class is for parents, grandparents and caregivers with children/grandchildren 20 months to 3 1/2 year old. Class takes place on Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:00 am. Classes follow the normal rhythm of our Parent & Child classes, with bread making, circle games, play in our beautiful classroom and outdoor playground. Limited to 10 families per class. Modern Calligraphy Workshop November 23

Please join us for an introductory workshop in modern calligraphy on Saturday, November 23 from 1 pm til 4 pm. The class will cover basic strokes, letters, words and will give students the opportunity to gain experience using calligraphy brush pens. Student will also be given the chance to put their new skills to use to make holiday cards and tag. No experience needed and all supplies will be provided.

“You don’t have to be a star, baby…to be in my sho – ow!”

…..but, it would be great if you could help make some! Meet up after morning drop off on Wednesday, November 20 and Wednesday, December 4 to make colorful stars for the upcoming Enchanted Fair. Join Heather Collis Puro, Handwork Teacher and Interim Director, and Sunflower Kindergarten parent Anna Brandenburg to learn how to fold these geometric beauties to decorate our school for this popular annual event. Stay for a few minutes or hang out for the morning. We will be working in the Community Space on the Main Floor from 8:15 am until 10:00 am. Homeschooling Program Update

Homeschooling Program Update

Our homeschooling program is gaining much interest. We currently have ten students enrolled in our inaugural session! The courses offered in this session are: Fine Arts and Science in Nature. During Tuesday’s meet and greet, interested and enrolled families met current session one teachers (Ana Coffey & Coleen Ryan) as well as other teachers that would teach during the program. Session one will run until November 7. Session two will run December 3 to February 7. Marshunda Smith will step into the position of Homeschool Program Coordinator. If you are interested in enrolling in a homeschool program class, please reachout to Marshunda Smith at msmith@waldorfmoraine.org.

Parent & Child Fall Registration Open

We have limited spaces available in our Parent & Child classes–starting in early September. registration is still open! Classes start in early September. We offer seven different classes for families with newborns to 3 1/2 year old. Each class holds eight families. Register soon to secure your spot. This unique program is a special time for parents, grandparents, and caregivers to learn about child development, participate in circle games, bread making, play, movement and songs while connecting with other families in a warm and inviting environment.

New Homeschooling Program

New Homeschooling Program

We’re excited to announce a new homeschooling program at Waldorf School at Moraine Farm starting this fall. We hope that by offering programs to homeschooling groups in our region we will expand the accessibility of Waldorf education to a wider audience. Our homeschooling program runs from 10:35 am to 12:10 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays and is for elementary through middle school age children. Each course is a 8-week session meeting once a week. Each day there will be two 45-minute subject classes. Homeschoolers can choose to take one or two courses in the same 8-week session.

Nursery Kindergarten Summer Program and Summer Camp Update

What a wonderful success with the development of our new Nursery and Kindergarten Summer Program. Children ages 3.5 to 6 years old have been discovering new friends, plants, creatures, hiking, water play and all of the fun the summer season brings us. We are happy to report that all of our sessions are full!

Our summer camp for ages 7 to 11 years old begins July 22! We still have space available in the first Session 1, July 29 to August 2 and Session 2, August 5 to 9. Session 3 is full. Learn more and register here.
