Talent Show this Sunday!

Talent Show this Sunday!

Join us on Sunday for our Virtual Talent Show!

May 31 • 2:00 – 3:30 PM via Zoom

It’s not too late to present your talent! If you have a talent to perform in 5 minutes or less and that’s appropriate for all ages, we’d love to see what you’ve got. Branigan Reed will be our host as we Zoom it up and come together virtually to enjoy the variety of talents throughout our community.

For performers and audience members, we’ll share the Zoom link the day prior to the event. We do ask that you do not share that information publicly, as this event is for just our school community. A recording will be available to share with the family afterward. It is not for public consumption.

Be part of the audience!

Don’t want to perform, you’re more than welcome to be a viewer. Just use the shared link to sit back and enjoy the show!

If you would like to be an act in the show, please email Coleen Ryan. She will collect names and titles of the acts, as well as a check-in with each act prior to ensure they are ready to go. Any questions or sign-ups can be emailed Coleen Ryan at cryan@waldorfmoraine.org

Ideas for acts… songs, juggling, stories, poetry, magic, dance, comedy, instrumentals, feats of human strength, superpowers, and any variety of hidden talents!

Summer Program & Camp Update

While it is difficult to look too far ahead, please know that we continue to make plans and have some exciting offerings for the summer! This includes summer camp for 7-12-year-olds, and our early childhood summer program for 3.5-6-year-olds. Being able to spend time outside on our beautiful Moraine Farm campus with friends both new and old, is something we can all look forward to!

We will continue to offer programs based on recommendations received from the CDC and state health authorities. We are in good communication with these agencies and will keep the community up to date if any changes are made. If we need to cancel or delay the start of this year’s camp season, this would happen no later than one month prior to camp start date. Should this become necessary, all fees will be refunded.

In an effort to encourage families to register please know that we want to work with you and we can be flexible with the payment options. If anyone needs to cancel their registration for summer camps and programs within 4 weeks of the camp start date, there will be a $45.95 fee charged per week.

Check our Summer Camp page for all the details and registration information!

If you have any questions contact Coleen Ryan at cryan@waldorfmoraine.org.

NEW Fine Art & Nature Camp

NEW Fine Art & Nature Camp

We’ve added another two weeks of summer programming for children age 7 to 12, offered July 13-17 and July 20-24. Fine Art & Nature Camp, lead by Mrs. Coffey, is about exploring a unique combination of art, nature, stories, and summer fun! Each morning campers will tend our flourishing garden, nibble herbs, and gather flowers. After which the students will spend time in the beautiful sixth grade classroom where they will enjoy story telling of a fairy or folktale, then take one of the most potent images, scenes, or characters from the story and bring it out of their imaginations onto the paper with beeswax crayons, colored pencils, or watercolor paints, or shape it with modeling beeswax. A highlight of each afternoon will be our nature walk to different picturesque locations on our Moraine Farm property, where they will explore the landscape and listen to a chapter book. Each week-long program will culminate in a “gallery show” highlighting the children’s newly created works of art.
