With our new online pledge page, extended family and friends are able to sponsor your family for this Saturday’s Virtual 5K. They can easily select their dollar amount, type in the name of the student or family, and make their tax-deductible donation online.

For those of you who are participating in the Family Fun Run this weekend, you’re more than welcome to share the link below to your circle of friends and family. Every dollar contributed will go to support and sustain our beloved school!

Virtual 5K Fundraising Event • October 17, 2020

Everyone is welcome to participate in this virtual 5K run/walk fundraising event (matching apparel makes it more fun, but it’s not required). Anyone anywhere can participate!

Participation Instructions

  • RSVP via our Facebook event page and invite your close friends and family to participate (including your furry four-legged friends).
  • On Saturday, October 17th, get together with your loved ones to run (or walk) 5K outdoors, wherever you want — locally and globally.
  • For those that ordered the custom apparel, remember to wear your special attire on the day of the event.
  • All participants are encouraged to use the hashtag #smallstepsbigleaps on Facebook and Instagram to post pictures of yourselves. The hashtag will be a great way to stay connected throughout the day and celebrate each other’s progress. Thanks for tagging @waldorfmoraine, too!
  • If possible, please share this with your friends and family to help spread the word. The more the merrier.

A Development Committee Event

This event is hosted and organized by the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm (WSMF) Development Committee (new members welcome!, email Heidi below). In an effort to support the financial wellbeing of our school, the WSMF Development Committee is working to create events (online and offline) that are fun and engaging while raising funds for the school. Virtual 5K Fundraising Event • October 17, 2020

Join us for this virtual 5K run (or walk) fundraising event designed to bring friends and families together in a way that’s safe and fun. It’s a great way to get outside, enjoy the changing foliage all while supporting our school. Anyone anywhere can participate! We’ve even designed coordinating apparel that you can wear together with your friends and family while you run (or walk).

Shop our selection of custom-design apparel at Bonfire.com/store/waldorf. Scroll through to see different styles and options for both adults and children!

Participation Instructions

Step 1 — RSVP via our Facebook event page and invite your close friends and family to participate.

Step 2 — Order your event apparel at Bonfire.com/store/waldorf/. This apparel will only be available for purchase online and will ship directly to your home. Every transaction raises funds for our school, thank you!

Note: All apparel must be ordered by Friday, September 25. Thank you!

Step 3 — On Saturday, October 17th, get together with your loved ones to run (or walk) 5K outdoors, wherever you want — locally and globally.

Just as the plants change and prepare for our winter season, we also need to change the way we eat, move and nourish ourselves. Join us as a community to learn how to nurture your immune system and bring warmth and nutrients to the cells of your body using this traditional folk medicine. In this workshop we will briefly discuss food as medicine, traditional wisdom as a form of resistance, and the importance of self and community care. All materials and ingredients will be provided.
