Thank You for Your Help with the Running of the Gnomes Event
Thank you kindergarten parents Deann Reyes-Wangh, Hayley Beaudoin, JoAnne McDonough, Arda Cankara-Hill and staff member and parent Miriam Silva Preas, for leading the planning of the first ever Running of the Gnomes 5K Trail Race at Moraine Farm. Thank you to parent, Luke Beardslee, for helping source the food. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped map out the trail, set up, clean up, grill, prepare the food and so much more. Together we raised over $6K. We estimate about 160 people attended and over 70 people participated in the run. Thank you to Performance Food Group, Corliss Brothers Garden Center and Nursery, The Crossland Group, New Entry Sustainable Farming Project for their sponsorship and support.

This week we’ve reached 84.21% participation from our families and 100% participation from our faculty and staff! Thank you and let’s keep it going! The sooner we reach 100% participation from our families, the more confidently we can approach foundations. WSMF Fund 2018-2019 Goal: $150,000

We can create a coupon code specifically for you to use and track how many people you can get to register for this event. The winner of this challenge will be announced during the picnic celebration. Dinner for Two Anywhere in the World Raffle
FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELTS! The DINNER FOR TWO ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD raffle has taken off. Each Waldorf School at Moraine Farm family will receive today an envelope with details about this year’s raffle fundraiser and tickets to sell.
Raffle prize includes:
- Round-trip airfare for two people to any major international airport
- Hotel accommodations for two nights
- Dinner for two at the winner’s restaurant of choice
Tickets are $20 each and are only sold through a Waldorf School at Moraine Farm family and the Main Office.
A Pancake and Maple Syrup Day Success. Thank you.
Thank you to everyone who came out for the Pancake Breakfast. It was awesome to see the community come together in celebration of our second successful maple sugaring season and the arrival of spring. We served over 170 people and raised $1,063 dollars!
A big thank you to some of our local grocery stores for their generous donations of goods toward the breakfast, including Market Basket, Stop & Shop, Shaws and Trader Joe’s. When asked to support this event they all responded without hesitation.
We could not have done it without the help of Valley View Farm in Topsfield. The folks there took all of our sap (over 110 gallons collected) and spent many nights in their steamy sugar shack evaporating it down to the delicious sweet syrup that we all enjoyed. If you would like some maple syrup, you can for a limited time buy 16oz for $15 at the school store. Get it while it lasts!
