Learn how to carve a spoon from fresh-cut wood on March 28 from 12:30 til 4pm. This course is designed for beginners and will cover wood anatomy, how to ax out a spoon blank from a tree or tree branch, knife holds and techniques, basic sharpening skills, as well as drying and finishing.
* If you are left-handed, please let us know in advance so that we can bring the appropriate tools for you.
Each student will walk away with their very own cooking spoon as well as receive sandpaper and oil/beeswax blend for finishing.
