Middle School Cyber Night

The middle school years are challenging enough for students, parents and educators. Add in the complexities of the internet, discerning what is real and fake information, cyberbullying, digital footprints, and the impact it has on our lives, can make it seem overwhelming.

At Waldorf School at Moraine Farm, we teach our middle schoolers how to be ethical, knowledgeable and empowered digital citizens who have digital literacy skills that allow them to critically evaluate and creatively produce media—written, visual and audio.

During our Middle School Cyber Night on Tuesday, May 1, we’ll highlight our Cyber Civics three year program. Mini lessons in Cyber Civics will give you a glimpse of what our middle schoolers experience and what they are able to accomplish after their third year in the program.

Parents are welcome to bring children, ages 9 and up.

Middle School Curriculum Night

Middle School Curriculum Night

During middle school curriculum night, you will hear from the main teachers about each grade’s themes and highlights for the year. You will also have a chance to meet your child’s special subject teachers and learn how the lessons complement and integrate with the themes of the morning lessons.

Understand how the curriculum is meeting your child’s developmental needs, both socially and academically and find ways to support your child at home.

We strongly urge ALL parents to attend the Middle School Curriculum Night (required attendance for 4, 5 and 6 grade parents) It’s an opportunity to learn about the class curriculum in your current or upcoming grades and ask specific curriculum questions to the teachers.

Early Childhood parents are also welcome and encouraged to attend.
