Looking for a CSA to join this summer? Our new neighbors across the road will be offering half and full CSA shares to Waldorf families that will be available starting June 21 during the Farmers Market hours, which will be Fridays from 2:30 – 6 p.m.

New Entry Sustainable Farming Project, a nonprofit program out of the Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition, provides new Americans and beginning farmers with business training, access to land, marketing counsel, and continued guidance to launch their farm business. New Entry’s Food Hub, which also operates from Moraine Farm, is a mechanism for establishing a path to market for their incubator farmers and graduates as well as to increase fresh food access to low income families and individuals around the Boston area.

On a given week, CSA members will receive various local vegetables and fruit, including salad greens, radishes, peas, herbs, honey, beans, cucumbers, squash, peaches and plums, and many other items. The model is a sustainable, fair trade alternative for consumers who desire locally-sourced fresh food.

The CSA season begins June 18 and runs through the Fall harvest, ending Nov. 1,. To sign up and receive weekly full or half shares, contact Ginger Turner at the New Entry Food Hub at 978-656-1654, or visit www.nesfp.org/NewEntryCSA.
