Coleen Ryan and Vanya Yoors
Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is pleased to announce that Coleen Ryan and Vanya Yoors will be working collaboratively to form our 2021-2022 interim leadership team. Both Coleen and Vanya are longstanding members of the school community and bring a wealth of experience to their new roles having collectively served in the administration, faculty, and on the board of our school.
Coleen will continue to serve as the school’s Director of Admissions and will additionally oversee school operations.
Vanya will serve as a pedagogical lead, overseeing the school’s curricular needs and liaising with the faculty, board, and parent communities.
As the board conducts a search for a new School Director, it does so with immense gratitude for both Coleen and Vanya’s work. Their leadership marks an auspicious start to the new school year.
Vanya Yoors studied Environmental Education with the Audubon Expedition Institute and spent a year studying Tibetan language and collecting Tibetan folk songs in Nepal under a program sponsored by the University of Wisconsin. He then received his B.A. in Waldorf Education from The Rudolf Steiner College and taught for four years at the Eugene Waldorf School in Oregon. Mr. Yoors came to Waldorf School at Moraine Farm in 1996, and has spent many years as a class teacher, movement and science teacher.
Coffee on the Quad
The Interim Leadership team invites you to join them for Coffee on the Quad on Thursday mornings throughout September. Between 8:20 and 9:20 AM community members are welcome to ask questions and get to know the interim leadership team over light refreshments under the tent.
