Meet the Instructors:
Elizabeth Stubbs is a felt artist living and working in Nahant, Massachusetts. She has a BFA from Boston University School for the Arts in painting, and has spent many years as a fine artist, illustrator, and teacher. She also holds a MEd from Antioch University in Early Childhood with a Waldorf certificate. It was during this teacher training that she was first exposed to the art of felt making and has been making felt for over 20 years. Elizabeth taught nursery students at Waldorf School at Moraine Farm and retired in 2015. She teaches felt making classes and workshops in the greater Boston area.
Heather Collis Puro is the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm Handwork teacher for students in first through eighth grade. Originally she came to the community when her son entered Parent and Child classes in 2000, but couldn’t resist the opportunity to teach and joined the faculty in 2007. Knitting, mending, and machine sewing have been a part of her family life for as long as she can remember and a shared past time across many generations in her family. Mrs. Collis Puro loves to teach handwork and crafts and she always learns something new from her students as well.
