Open House Windows Into the World of Waldorf
October 5, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
On Saturday, October 5, Waldorf School at Moraine Farm will host an Open House starting at 10 am.
Experience the value of Waldorf education for yourself!
Parents have numerous options here on the North Shore which is why it’s so important for families to make the most informed decision they can about their children’s educations and futures. How well a child performs and learns in school now has lasting effects on their high school, college and life experiences as well.
The upcoming event, Windows Into the World of Waldorf, is an excellent way for families to experience what a Waldorf education offers, how a child learns in a Waldorf environment and how Waldorf School at Moraine Farm differentiates from all other public and private schools in the area.
Visitors may choose from a series of 30-minute classes, specific to a range of grade levels. While in class, experience what it’s like to be taught in the Waldorf method and see how engaging it is to be a student at the school. Homeschooling families can also get a feel for the programming we have available for homeschooled students.
Experience how Waldorf’s time-tested approach to education promotes a learning environment that allows for self-discovery, creative problem solving and high achievement.
More details about this event and the schedule will be shared here soon.RSVP TO OPEN HOUSE TODAY
Should I bring my children to this Open House?
Depending on the grades you are interested in, even if it is just nursery or kindergarten, you will be participating in 30 min classes in many different rooms. Most will be taught immersion style and we want parents to have the opportunity to absorb the classroom experience without distraction of their little ones (or other families’ children as well.)
For this reason, we encourage our families with children younger than 3rd grade not to bring them to the upcoming Open House. We understand it makes things more complicated and can be extremely difficult for some families. If not bringing your child/children is not an option, we will have an area where families may gather and speak with other parents and teachers. We encourage one parent/caregiver to visit in this area with your little one while the other parent experiences the classroom.
Older children entering 3rd through 8th grade, who are able to engage in the classroom experience along with their parents are welcome to join.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Admissions at email@example.com or 978.927.8811 x 26.
“When looking at education options for your child, there’s only so much that can be conveyed in brochures and on websites. We’ve found the best way to get a true feel for a school is to experience the education through classes taught by our faculty,” says Heather Collis-Puro, Interim Faculty and Administration Director, and Handwork Teacher “Choosing the right education for our children – both in the now and with an eye to the future – is one of the most important decisions parents and guardians make. We hope you’ll join us and experience how Waldorf’s time-tested approach to education promotes a learning environment that allows for self-discovery, creative problem solving and high achievement.”
