Winter Camp at Glen Brook
During the week of February 17 – 22, 2020 Camp Glen Brook offers an overnight winter program for 3rd through 9th graders. Glen Brook is located in southwest New Hampshire and is owned and operated by the Waldorf School of Garden City, NY. Go to www.glenbrook.org for more info and to register.
New Orchestra Concept: Variety Show!
Looking for something a little different in a symphony orchestra? CommonWealth Orchestra Outreach Project has a concert show for you! The orchestra, aka COOP for short, is a reboot of the old school symphony orchestra that offers a new experience in classical music. COOP has an updated approach by playing classical music in a variety show format, and the music is written by local composers and other great American composers that somehow missed entry into the orchestral canon. Branigan Reed Joins Breathe for Change Training Team
Waldorf School at Moraine Farm’s Education Support Teacher, Branigan Reed, will officially join the Breathe for Change training team as a Graduate Fellow for the upcoming Spring 2020 training in Boston!
After completing her training with the organization this past summer, Branigan first became a Breathe for Change Ambassador, supporting local workshops and contributing to the organization’s future development plans. Due to her passionate, and immediate positive implementation of social-emotional, mindfulness, and wellness practices in the school community, as a certified yoga teacher, and as an Ambassador, Branigan was recommended for the inaugural Graduate Fellowship cohort by Dr. Ilana Nankin, founder, and CEO of Breathe for Change. As a graduate fellow, Branigan will support asana practice, workshops, and community classes, facilitate community groups, teach lunch n’ learn sessions and support asana finales.
