This comic was created by sixth-grader Nick Thorn’s older brother, Ethan. In this assignment for a ninth-grade writing class, students were asked to write about what’s important to know about them. It was shared with our faculty by his mom and our fifth-grade teacher, Ms. Harrington as an example of what can happen when teachers value students for who they are and invite them to express themselves in various forms, such as art. Not surprisingly, Ethan chose not to share the piece in class but has given us permission to share it here. We hope you enjoy it as much as the faculty did.
