Our Tuition: The Right Fit for Your Family

At Waldorf School at Moraine Farm, our values drive our approach to tuition. We believe that education is a partnership between school and family, and that diversity is fundamental to a rich and meaningful educational experience for students, parents, and teachers alike. Our goal is to welcome families who are genuinely interested in the education we offer—knowing that each such family brings unique and important gifts to our community, regardless of how much tuition they pay. Our tuition model allows us to respond with flexibility to each family. If your family is a “right fit” for our school, our tuition model allows us to determine the “right fit” regarding tuition. We have chosen to move away from the concepts of “full payment” and “financial aid” or “assistance.” Instead, we determine each family’s financial commitment in equitable proportion to the family’s financial resources, using fair and objective criteria and processes. We believe that our approach to tuition helps create a vibrant and inclusive school community, based on our values of fairness, diversity, and collaboration.

How it Works

If you are interested in the education we offer, we invite you to speak with our Admissions Director about the tuition adjustment process. The school will ask you to provide financial information using FACTS, a standardized tool for evaluating family income, assets, liabilities. and other potential sources of funds for tuition. We will use this information to determine your expected financial contribution for all your children who attend the school. The process is strictly confidential. If you wish to opt out of the tuition adjustment process, your child’s tuition will be set at the unadjusted level. Families will need to update their FACTS information annually. There may be modest increases in tuition over the years, but our intent is to keep the tuition you pay within the bounds of what you can afford for the duration of your child’s (or children’s) attendance at the school. Keep in mind that, like nearly all independent schools, we depend on tuition income to run the school. Your tuition payment reflects the fact that you have made this education a priority for your family. To find out more, please visit our Tuition Adjustment page.
