Join us for our third annual Winter Festival and Open House from 10 am to 1 pm.
Waldorf School at Moraine Farm in Beverly is hosting a free Winter Festival and Open House on Saturday, February 11, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
This outdoor festival includes guided snowshoe hike around Moraine Farm, upcycling t-shirt project, a puppet show at 10:30 am, cozy fire & free warm cider, bread baking at the outdoor oven, live music and games. The playgrounds and play spaces will be open for families to explore. The third and eighth grades will be offering food for purchase to fund their class trips. The Enchanted Caravan Store will also be open for business.
This year, the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm community is celebrating its 30th anniversary by performing thirty acts of service. In honor of this focus on service, guests will have the opportunity to make fleece hats that will be given to Beverly families in need. In addition, the school is also hosting a personal care drive for the local nonprofit organization Beverly Bootstraps during the festival and open house. Items such as deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, laundry detergent, diapers and other personal care products will be collected at the school. Contributions are welcome.
All classrooms will be open for visitors to tour. Staff and faculty will lead discussions on how Waldorf offers an integrated, multi-disciplinary curriculum with strong academics fueled by arts, music and movement. Parents and alumni will be available to share their experiences and insights on how a Waldorf education fosters a lifelong love for learning. Classroom tours every 30 min.
